I was out and about today and had need of food. I pulled into a parking lot and found myself outside of La Rosita.
It is a taqueria and groceries with their own butcher.
The special today was tacos carnitas for $1 each. I was hungry, so I ordered 3. With just a little cross language communications, I asked for no onions/cebolla and wandered the store.
It was ready in less time than it took me to find my drink, apple soda.
I ate, listened to the crew sing along with the Latino station and felt comfortable. It was yummy and the sauces provided gratis, green and red, are helping to stem off the impending cold I have coming on.
I stuffed myself for just over $4.00.
They are at 6005 Monona Drive in Monona, Wi.. Look for them when in the area.
Oh, and it didn’t smell like meat, unlike many grocers with butchers.
