This is a great instant potluck or side dish and it is good enough to be a meat-less meal main dish.

Servings

2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 can Green Beans
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 dash Salt
  • Mint for garnish

Utensils

  • 2 medium Bowls
  • 1 Strainer or Tea Towel
  • Spoon

Directions

Serves 1-2 as main, 3-4 as side

Technique: Drain the can of Green Beans through the strainer into the bowl.  If it is a style of green beans that has little added to it(no salt, no calcium carbonate), save the liquid for your next stock.  Put the strained beans into the second bowl.  Add the Lemon Pepper and Lemon Juice.  Stir with the spoon.  Taste and add salt to taste.  Garnish if you have some mint available.

Serve cold.  This can be held for several days before serving, but be aware the spicing will increase as it marinades.
